Situated on the east side of Vancouver Island, the Comox Valley stretches approximately 30 miles (50 km) along the coast from Fanny Bay to Saratoga Beach. The Valley includes the communities of Courtenay, Comox and Cumberland, as well as numerous rural settlements and the adjacent islands of Denman and Hornby. In these picturesque places you can walk on sandy beaches with bald eagles soaring overhead, experience the thrill of digging your own fossils and sample home-baked goodies in trendy cafes. You'll also find friendly locals who love to chat, and funky shops where browsing is pure pleasure.

The area has a strong stable economy, with major employers including CFB Comox, School District 71, North Island College and Mt. Washington. The Comox Valley boasts a strong infrastructure including St.Joseph's Hospital, three recreation centres, two airports and two ferry terminals (one to Denman and Hornby Island and one to Powell River on the mainland).

Comox Valley housing is some of the most affordable on Vancouver Island. Residents have many options including oceanfront condos, forested sub divisions, rural acreages with views of the Comox Glacier and the Beaufort Mountain Range or spectacular beachfront properties.
