With an average of 11 metres of annual snowfall the resort typically has the deepest ski resort snow depths in Canada, and at times, North America. Winters on Mount Washington give Vancouver Islanders the opportunity to rise above the seasonally low cloud cover and enjoy brilliant sunshine in a winter wonderland.

You'll find just about everything you need on the mountain, including restaurants, pub, lounge, retail shops, equipment rentals and a Kid's Zone. The resort has an internationally recognized snow school program with special classes for Seniors and the Disabled. Numerous special events take place throughout the season.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES        

Fun on the mountain doesn't end once the snow has melted. Mount Washington is the gateway and trailhead into the vast wilderness of B.C.'s largest provincial park, Strathcona Provincial Park. Whether you want to enjoy a 2 hour hike in the alpine or head out for a multi-day trek it’s all here. The day hike up to Lake Helen MacKenzie returning along Battleship is very popular way to enjoy a day in the alpine.

During the summer, malke sure to take in a chairlift ride to Mount Washington’s summit. Bring your camera for breathtaking panoramic views of the Comox Glacier, Mt. Albert Edward, the Strait of Georgia and numerous coastal communities and islands.

Mountain Biking is back at Mount Washington ! Summer 2016 saw the opening of a variety of new trails in the Bike Prk. Guests can rent mountain bikes at the resort as well.
