I very much appreciate his tendency to err on the side of caution versus trying to push you into buying a house. When we found the right house, he worked magic to get fairest price possible. Looking back at the experience of buying my first home, from the comfort of my new, beautiful living room, view of the river at my doorstep, wood burning stove at my feet, I think about how I almost said no to this. In fact, I did say no….and Rick, what did he say?…..”I think you’re making a mistake” and that was all he said. “Damn you” was what I was thinking.
