While Easy Acres and the Magic Carpets are undoubtedly the biggest news for winter at Mount Washington Alpine Resort, some other changes are afoot this season.

The mountain life suits Lana and Mark Blair, fulltime residents at Mount Washington Alpine Resort. The couple owns Grizzly Alpine Services, which has the transportation contract in the Alpine Village, and Lana is also the representative for Strata 799.

Summer was all about the snow at Mount Washington Alpine Resort this year. No, that’s not a typo: there was enough snow left over from a record-setting year that for the first time ever, the Resort was open for summer skiing in July.

Mount Washington Alpine Resort is home to six snow sport clubs and one summer sport (mountain biking) club whose members spend their seasons practicing and competing on their “home” hill.
